What a big difference a little CD makes.

Thanks to VancouverM who was gracious enough to send me a burnt copy of the V26 Nav update as well as a copy of the 2005.2 Nav DVD.

Decided to update my nav and test it out over lunch. I used the "British Female Voice".

The display (map) is much differenct in the fact that it doesn't show all the streets around you and the directions are given by a "British Female Voice".

A by product of this update is I now have figured out what to name my car.

Initially I thought of Elizabeth (as in Hurley) but I thought it might be creepy since my mom's name is Elizabeth. So I settled on Keira (as in Knightly)

How did you choose between voices? I uploaded V26 to my M II Nav but got no choices on voices (I'm a poet). I guess cause you have MIII or MIV ?

So how is Keira ?

I've got MKIV in my Beast. There's 2 different ISO files that can be burnt one that allows the "British Babe" as VancouverM likes to call her and one that is the NA version you get from your dealer.

I actually noticed that even though "Keira" is talking to me the language selection in the "Settings" is USA.

I'm still waiting for Keira to say "Take me home" but all she does it keep telling me where to go LOL.

I think I need to spend more quality time with her.

LMAO.
Looking forward to meeting you Clem.

Best thing is you don't have to hurt your male ego by asking for directions.
Worst thing is if you keep going the wrong way, she never shuts up!

I like you car's name.
You got me thinking that I haven't named mine yet.
Since I am English/Canadian, I am looking for something else.
A nice leggy German blonde, perhaps.
The car's German. The car's definitely got legs.
Rearranging Keira, I came up with Erika, so Erika it is.

Thanks for the inspiration.
Salty.

PS: Naming the car has got to be the cheapest M5 mod ever!!!
Doesn't make it go any faster though.

Hmmmm.... now you got me thinking! I was leaning towards Ms. Hurley ( ), but if I actually name my beast... well... that could be the last straw with my wife .
