OT AND SILLY--New NASCAR Romance Novels--Mmmm Now That Gets My Motor Reving LOLOL

OK I know this is totally OT and totally silly, but I saw this article in the USA Today yesterday about these new NASCAR Romance novels that are coming out. They say there are already men who read romance novels (?), so I just knew you all would love this post LOL.

Here's a quote from the first book in the series, "In The Groove"...."When he (Lance Cooper--a nascar driver) looks at Sarah, (he) 'feels like he has been shocked by a loose spark plug wire'" I don't know how much more romantic you can get then that when talking about a woman

Post any comments/book reviews below....HA HA

Here I thought they would be Tim Richmond and others stories.

Spit and moonshine--love the combo

Hey 6, you just had to make me go to Wikipedia didn't you LOL You forget how ignorant I am about many of the (in)famous folks in motorsports. Looks like Tim and NASCAR got along like oil and water--oh HA HA HA, I'm so witty

"Days of Thunder" was Tim Richmond's story, He was always with the ladies.
If he wouldn't have died I think he and Dale Sr would have had been battling thru their careers.

Thanks for the additional info--and here I was talking about a scene from that movie in another post a while back and never knew that it was based on him, duh. Hey in the movie I only remember him being with Nicole Kidman--guess I better take off my rose-colored-racecar-romance-glasses.

I know you know that was the Hollywood effect(killing a true story).
A good friend was the spotter for Greg Sacks who drove the car during the races while filming.

I was thinking about these books, Could these be stories from the team road travels?

Oh boy, I'm in trouble tonight. I might have to slug back some coffee to keep up here with all the wit that's hitting the fan around here.

It is only appropriate they make a mini-series of these novels and air them on Speed... That is what this channel has become anyways, quite sad...
