Just had car re mapped WOW

Hello readers are we sitting comfortably? you wont be when youve been out in my car.At first I was a bit sceptical about ANY performance gains after having bad results on other cars, but after talking to brother Welsh_Willo and listening to his experience with a re map he'd help to produce in conjunction with a performance exhaust and sports cats he'd helped to engineer for his M5, I decided to have a go, now it's not a cheapo re map it's a full de limit and an increase of about 200rpm(mine didn't need this as mine has the last ECU BMW upgrade for the E39 M5 fitted when I had my Vanos done) Well after the re map had taken place I was very eager to get behind the wheel and give it some, what I noticed straight away is you can potter about town and not look like a learner driver, there's NO juddering and first to second feels much better, and now for the road test,do you remember the first time you went hard in second and then hard in third?well second feels like third now and the rest feel like you've got a turbo or some thing , above 2600rpm it just takes off and instead of the torque curve hitting its peak at 3800 and then dropping off it seems to stay at full torque from 2600 right round to at least 6000 the re map really dose make a difference and as you drive it more you feel it more, leave yours in 6th at about 2000 and then put your foot down the goes but it lets you know it doesnt like it, in mine it pulls really smooth no judder just a smooth pull,as for over tacking you can stay in 3,4,5(brave) and it just blasts past anything in your way safe and smooth, now for me to start talking power figures would be unfair until we have the cars Fully Dynod, but you'd just have to drive Mine or Welsh_Willos to feel that there is a definite difference so if your interested PM Welsh_Willo and Im sure he will provide you with any information he can,oh and I PAID for my re map and I am not receiving any money or gifts for this write up and I will make no money if you buy this product UNFORTUNALY

Sounds great - re-chip can definitely improve driveability. As to power, well, we all tend to want to feel what we want to feel, especially when we've spent time and money to get there. But I'd only trust the dyno results.

There is also no guarantee that the car was in good shape to begin with. Mine never experienced any of the symptoms he listed. I would love to see the dynographs make me eat my words though...

M5 Master Torque Maps

As EV commented the seat of the pants effect is very good : this is a torque model first and foremost . So we are off to the rolling road booked for next week : will post the results with stock and the new maps ... BTW this stuff is no fluke as the folks doing the work with me are very experienced and have over 25 years of chip performance tuning under their belts : An M6 has already been done : boy is that scary : I have had two other sets of e39 software : maps /chips from other vendors and this is first one which is really noticeable : more to come on this

E55AMG2 as you may have seen that my Vanos units,Cam and Crank position sensors, coils and MAF's were replaced about 9000miles ago by BMW the problems I ment were the car always felt like it wanted to go fast and not potter around in slow traffic and if you left it in third in slow traffic it would rumble jerk not an obvious jerk but one you as the driver noticed over time like I say my car was set up with the last ECU upgrade for the E39 M5 BY BMW it just feels and goes better now Ive had the re map

If you have any doubts about the company's(morgo BBR gti) ability and think maybe I may be exaggerating the performance check out the new evo magazine the company is MORGO(BBR GTI) as you will see the car is'nt a BMW M5 but is a brand new Golf GTI the power is up from 197 bhp to 250 bhp and the torque is up by about 60lbft as well they also have 20 years of re maping ,"chipping" and full RACE engine development's, anyone remember Brodie,Brittan,Raceing and there 500 bhp sierra cosworth well this is the same people

Oh and I know the new golf has a turbo so more power can be extracted

Sounds great - unreserved recommendation for BBR then?

I have a Cossie with a BBR blueprint engine than runs up to 2.5 bar turbo boost - ***** my pants when I drive that on track days!!

Can you name the 2 previous remap providers and your comments theron - if you prefer PM me with the reply

Is there a product name and cost? Is it for basic stock set-ups or only heavily modded beasts? Is this comperaple to the Powerchip offering?

Performance Kits and Maps for e39 / e60 M5

Vancouver M

This is a new product set which I have been jointly developing @ RWCS in collaboration a well known performance agencies in the UK : to be used with new exhausts which are also currently being readied for market : Stainless race cats / high flow xpipe + hi flow / low weight rear boxes and the cat back section 9 kgs lighter than the Britallman: Since we don't see powerchip over here we are aiming to right some wrongs in the Uk Euro market : but in time it could be over the water .. the aim is get a "Genuine 10%" from stock : primarily aiming for torque .. the M6 which was done last week was ballistic

EV's < paid for > map / test fitment was on a Brittalman cat back to see how it performed .. we had very good results which we can only validate by roadtests and dynos

Only then are happy to advertise these ... the plan is to launch these very soon in conjunction with well setup suspension options < did u know that the stock suspension has .5 + camber > and brakes packages so that we can offer "proper" support for modification install and cut thru all the BS which is prevalent in the UK eg CAI intake kits .... etc ..etc..

we are focussing on the core issues here < not just with e39 M5's but e60 M5s M6's, new Golfs GTI <250+bhp > Mini Cooper S < easy 225 bhp > Audi RS4 RS6 and also want the cars to be seen and experienced at Track days and UK / Euro road driving events

Hence the IOM weekend 17th / 18th March where we are aiming to show the goodies to those interested

As this not yet ready to go up as sponsor product and we are keeping the technical information close until we are confident to publicise it
but rest assured as soon as it is Gustav will notify via the board so we are aligned with product sale rules : I will soon post some primary detail off the back of my site but please pm me only for those details as the urls will be kept quiet until we go
