help identifying this lightened flywheel

I bought this off ebay a while back for 200 buckaroos, I've had it for a while and I'd like out figure out who made it. I've looked around at lightened flywheels, and haven't found anything that looks like it.

I bought it before I figured out that the car performs fine already and I've largely decided to leave the car alone. I'm going to put itback on ebay but I'd like to know a bit more about it.

It has a tiny 'winged' tire stamped into it, and that's about it.

I'm using a linux based machine here at work so I'll have fun figuring out how to get a photo uploaded.

ps; I think the guy who sold it to me is a member here on the forum! he went to a dinan upgrade and the original lightened flywheel (this one) is not capable of handling the greater stress, so he ditched it after 4000 miles, he says. could it be a Dinan unit?

bump. TTT. etc.

Turner motorsports maybe?

Bueller? Bueller?

There must be someon on this board who recognizes this flywheel.

The starter 'ring' gear is fully separate and brings the rotating mass up to 14lbs. Aluminum part is 9 lbs.

The majority of the rotating mass is at the center area, which keeps the inertia down. Both good and bad.

This ring gear, I'm sure, is coming off an automatic tranny car.

Now for the aluminium part, could it be home made or modified by your e-bay seller? On my opinion, it could be...

It's a pro built item, for sure. I've looked at everyone's different flywheels, and haven't found a perfect match yet. The 'winged tire' stamped into it is the big giveaway as to it's origins..but I can't seem to find out who uses the logo. I've not found any picures of a Dinan flywheel yet, so it's till on the list. maybe somene can remove my ignorance of that.

The seller did get back to me as of yesterday. He is a forum member and even tried to have a few of the forum members help him figure it out at an earlier date. So far, it's all guesses.

No part numbers anywhere on this flywheel. Just the tiny winged tire logo. Is the original aluminum? I thought it'd be steel.

It is definitely not a Dinan product.
I just installed the Dinan flywheel on my M5 last week.

Did you install an aluminum flywheel or a steel one?
