Short M5 video
I uploaded a short clip of me (driving my former 300ZX Twin Turbo) being passed by and then chasing a beautiful E39 M5. This was from summer of 2004 at New Hampshire Intl Speedway, and the amazing exhaust note of this particular car made me lust over an M5 even more than I already did.
I'm kind of hoping the owner of this car is on the board...it was a fairly young guy, lived in New England, he was either Greek or eastern European, spoke with an accent...very nice guy but I forgot his name. I forgot the brand of exhaust, but he said he had headers, exhaust, coilovers, BBK, R-compound tires. Very sweet car and nice guy.
For the record I was running a bone stock 300ZX on 5 cylinders (1 injector died at the track). You will see one turn in particular where the torque of the M5 allows him to simply pull away from me.
Hope you enjoy it.

Re: Short M5 video
Great video! IMO, there is little in the V8 world that can touch an S62 at full song; I just love that note.
It was great hearing the crisp heel and toes too.
It's impressive how much your Z would get him in the lower speed stuff. Weight really is a facor there. Good driving!

Yes I did and I agree - active driving, but watching his two thumbs gripping the steering wheel just didnt do it for me, theres no better rush for me than hitting the apex of a fast corner and changing down gear ... myself.... and blasting out of the corner, like I said, all due respect to the driver, just didnt do it for me.

you really should not be able to change gears at the apex of a corner! (unless you're going really slow! )
i've driven smg cars at the track and think they are a blast!

There's always one isnt there?
Enjoy your smg, I think they border on the feminine, but thats just my opinion isnt it?
