I got around 11K out of my current set of Falken FK 451's -- don't laugh, they were on sale
Personally, I expected to get about 15K out of them (280 treadwear) but they really started to deteriorate after 8-9K...I know our cars have some negative camber dialed into the rears but they're both pretty shot (nearly showing belts) on the inside shoulders...Front tires show wear appropriate for the miles...
In the interest of getting the best out there which seem to be PS2's, how many miles should I expect considering the alignment is dialed in correctly?
Btw, I don't drive like a bat outta hell, burnin' tires and such Thanks all!

I got 40,000 miles out of the OEM Dunlop 8000s. I switched to Michelin PS2s. They are fantastic - they make the M5 feel like a different car! I have been driving on them for 10,000 miles and I'd say I'll have at least 15-20k more.
I don't drive like a bat out of hell either but "spirited" may be more like it.
I'm on Dunlop 9000s and the rears have done just over 38,000 miles with about 3ml of tread left, legal limit here is 1.6ml so I'll easily see 41,000 out of them.

At best, I may have put 10k miles on my PS2 rears before they needed to be replaced, and actually I think it was a little less. The wear was even side to side, meaning that the insides of each tire wore somewhat faster than the outsides due to the negative camber. No track time, burnouts, etc., just some spirited driving from time to time. And the car still has the original clutch at 38k miles, thank you, so believe me when I say the car is not being abused. I replaced the rears, and the fronts still look perfectly fine. YMMV, this was just my experience. I love the tires, but they're a pricey proposition.
Are you running 8000s or SP 8080E. I believe the 8080s are OEM? That is what the dealer put on my car before I bought it from them. Just curious. I believe the 8000s are a bit cheaper than the 8080s.

Chris,
It may have been 8080s - I don't remember for sure. I replaced them with the PS2s a year or so ago.
I have been running PS2 275/35 R18s all around for a few thousand miles now and they provide unbelievable grip. I have been quite happy thus far and if I get 15k miles out of them then, I would go with them again.

I do not know how you guys (and gals) get so much mileage off your tires...I have had two sets of tires on my car in less than 15,000 miles, the OEMs and the PS1s...
I have a set of PS2s to be mounted on Monday....
