TV on NAV - question?

I installed this unit about 2 months ago and everything works fine except for the COLORS. From what I can make from it, what should be red comes out blue and the rest of colors look off as well.

I was wondering if anybody else has this unit and is experiencing the same problem?

Also, they are not responding to any email and their voice message is full.

Thanks,
Sung

Re: TV on NAV - question?

Sounds like maybe some crossed wires during the install but I'm no expert. Just an idea. Have most of you had a good experience with the TV on NAV?

Hmmmm ... That really does NOT sound good that the company, TVonNAV, is NOT responding to your telephone calls and emails ! !

Regarding the installation of the NAVonTV video unit ... Since the company is located in Minnesota ... Did they recommend a local company, in your neck of woods, to do the installation ??? ... OR ... Did you find an installation company on your own ... OR ... Did you DIY ???

Is your color problem solely on the TV play OR do you also have the same color problem on DVD Playback?

The kit I bought is a DIY. I paid extra for the wiring harness so I wouldn't have to cut and splice anything. Very easy to install, just plug and play. Wiring the tv ant. was a bit more difficult.

The color problem is with TV and DVD.

Re: TV on NAV - question?

Have you had this color problem ever since you did the installation ?

If you are 100% positive that you connected the supplied wiring harness correctly ... Then It is most probably that the Wirng Harness that NAVonTV supplied was made up INCORRECTLY and you should get in contact with them ASAP.

Did you buy the DVD Player and the reversing camera from them as well?

The problem was always there.. actually, I'm a bit color blind so I didn't notice until the simpons came out green

I tried to get a hold of them but no luck.

I got the dvd player from ebay, some off brand (but very happy with)
No reversing camera 9has input but decided not to.

Re: TV on NAV - question?

Sung,

I am very sorry to hear about your troubles, and cannot provide any technical advice. But when you mentioned that the seller doesn't respond to emails and their telephone mailbox is full, I immediately thought... you must be talking about AdvancedAutovations? If that's who we're talking about, then the only way I've found to get them (Parag) to even reply is to threaten legal action.

Re: TV on NAV - question?

I do not recommend TVonNav to anybody. I had some problems with the kit as well, and I never got the DVD Player I bought from them.

I tried insistently to get in touch with them but never did. I never got an answer, so I finally gave up. Legal threat would't work for me since I live in Brazil.

As for the problem try the at www.bimmernav.com
They are very helpful with NAV and TV issues. Good luck!
