POLL: Does the M5 consume your life?
1. Not at all
2. A little
3. A lot
4. I think about it all day, can't wait to check the board...lose sleep, slack at work because all you do is think about the M
I should be at number 3, but I'm starting to lose control and slip into number 4.
Some might say I'm an Maholic.

There is a "poll" option on the page where you set up a new thread. Clicky, clicky!

"Is it the sounds that make a BMW a BMW? A BMW is designed to be heard, felt, experienced. So our engines sing. Our steering talks back. And we insist on offering manual transmissions in nearly all our models for drivers who crave them. The result is an almost telepathic oneness with the car. Just as surely as you can hear a BMW, a BMW hears you."

Re: POLL: Does the M5 consume your life?
I give it good wipedown every day, because water sitting on BMW paint in the sun = water spots. I buff the entire car if I see swirl marks. Everytime I have friends in the car, I wipe the fingerprints that they leave in the car.
Im not obsessed with the M, but I am anal with it for some reason. I put myself at 3.5

Re: POLL: Does the M5 consume your life?
4 sounds about right especially after my starter mods got installed last week and also because I bought the car 5 weeks ago.
As for the forum, I am usually up till 3 or 4am reading crap and when I get to work I occasionally just check what responses I get to my posts. So I guess a 4 sounds right.

Re: POLL: Does the M5 consume your life?
I think for my M5 I would be at 3.5, but for my M3, I'm at 7
I've spent hours and hours and hours working on that car. I guess I removed the interior 15 times to reschedule cables, to install a new tft screen...
I had it repainted twice last winter (first time wasn't OK, so I told the painter not to reassemble the car, and prepare it for another repaint.) Reassembled it myself, takes a lot of time if it's the first time you do that.
I guess I'm continuously working on that car for the last 3 years. Had new leather in the car 2 years ago, bought electric M3 seats last year, so the new leather had to move, and the M3 seats came in. Of course they needed to be in the same color as the rest of the interior.
Then installed air suspension, M3 brakes...
Mod list would be too long to mention.
