Since the cars are German, maybe H&K instead?

Seriously, the McGuard Ultras seem the way to go. I would think one set would be enough but I could see needing two sets (one regular, one extra long) since I run spacers up front. Maybe I could use the longer set on the rears, too if they don't poke through too far. Do they only come in silver?

"Is it the sounds that make a BMW a BMW? A BMW is designed to be heard, felt, experienced. So our engines sing. Our steering talks back. And we insist on offering manual transmissions in nearly all our models for drivers who crave them. The result is an almost telepathic oneness with the car. Just as surely as you can hear a BMW, a BMW hears you."

How about a Neapolitan Mastiff? (huge combat dog - 150 pounds teeth and muscles, and a temper to use those. Would eat a Pitbull or two for breakfast...)

Re: Help, Wheel thief lurking in my neighborhood!!!!

McGuard is a very good wheel lock type.

An ealier post said that the M5 wheels are probably not to hot of a market because they are so specific.
Use two different brand/type wheel locks on each wheel! (better safe than sorry)
Or a 20ft, 10000 volt electrified fence around your car - like the fence in Jurassic Park!

Honestly though - fake security cameras may deter thieves too.

M5 wheels are probably not that hot on the market but are E46 M3's because the person here got thier M3 wheels stolen. I guess may be there is a bigger market for that ???

Thanks for all your advice, I am definately going to get two type of locks.

Re: Help, Wheel thief lurking in my neighborhood!!!!

McGard is a huge player in wheel locks.

You will discover most local auto parts stores sell them. I am sure someone can special order them for you.

Are they all keyed differently? or does a thief only need to go and buy this particular brand of wheel lock to gain access to a key?

Yea this is the question I want to know because if it is so popular I am wondering ig a wheel thief will just have a key ready for this type of lock. Again, I know nothing is full proof and is more a deterent not a compelete solution.

According to the website: "These German made locking bolt sets use a computer generated key pattern, making every set completely unique." That may be a bit of a stretch, but probably true enough.
