so, i'm going to wire the ipod adapter and xm so that instead of using the lighter socket for power they will have permanent power. i got some adapters from pepboys that have a lighter socket on one end and wiring on the other. this way i can stick the ipod power and xm in the adapter and splice into some power source in the car. it will leave the lighter socket free and i won't ever have to switch plugs to power both things. the only question i had, is where would be a good, convinient place to splice into. i also want the power to turn off when i turn off the car. i was thinking of doing it in the same place i wired the valentine one. what do you guys think?
