S62 Race Headers

thought I'd share... Not an M5, but it is M5 powered. Working on pics of the actual car and video.... (tough to get race guys to the computer!)

Buddy of mine helped design this project: An S62 race built motor with CUSTOM headers in a "dune" baja race car. Thing sounds like a Ferrari compared with the majority of American powered throaty V8's. This was a one-off project (cost $8k to do just the header - as competitive in pricing to Dinan ) Too bad we don't have the real estate under the hood to take advantage of these !!

He's the same guy working with me to get one day, the M5 all aluminum race radiator!!
ps. Don't ask me about the headers - I'm not a mechanic- I don't know specs or anything other than they were custom built for this specific car.

These are the pics I have. I've asked for more including the power output of that thing. it's been racing for quite some time (from what I understand). Sound of it at full rev is just unbelievable!
