Hella LED's - tail light error?

Hey all-

I'm having a set of used genuine Hella LEDs (smoked lens) installed on my MY2000. The previous owner said he got a tail light failure error when he had them on his car.

I ran searches for everything I knew how...but I'm wondering how to get this error removed? Is it a matter of resistance between LED and regular bulbs...?
I'd rather not have it display every time I drive.

Cheers,

Lance

**update - I'm stupid. I heard him wrong. He got the error when he switched back to his regular tail lights...not sure why. Installed the smokes, and they work/look great. Will put up pics later.
