Tire Monitoring System 1, BMW Mobility System 0

Driving home today, tire defect pops up. Immediately pull over, dang, driver's rear is flat....wonder how that happened. Start looking, stupid car has no jack, no lug wrench, nothing to change a tire. Call a friend to bring air, heck, I should be able to limp home, it's only 1 mile away and it can't be leaking that fast. Yea right, put air in, m, no leaks. Remove air chuck, value stem starts leaking. WHAT ?!?!@#$ Dang, mobility thing ain't gonna seal that...... Call a buddy that has a mobile service rig, 40 minutes later he's installing a new valve stem and I'm back onthe road. Having no spare tire SUCKS!!!! BMW did you hear that?!?!

Had a very similar problem a few months back:

The M Blow Me System worked exactly as intended...

Reminds me, I still need to order a new bottle of ejaculate...

Just a reminder -- the M-mobility kit is under scheduled maintenace to be replaced 3 years FROM PRODUCTION DATE. It is included in the free full maintenance in the US. Be sure to remind your service manager when you take your M in, because they never think of it. I hope to never need it.

Well just another thing to check with the local service manager. Since we pay for all the other things here, doubt that mobility kit will be any different.

I don't believe the M-mobility system is covered. The goo (in the white plastic bottle) that you use with the mobility system is to be replaced under warranty every 3 years ... If you buy it, it is about $ 35 to $ 40.

One wonders if its main purpose is to provide a (false) sense of security. I think I've read all of one post from a member who actually experienced success with the goo...
