WDS

Firefox is no longer supporting Java plugin, so WDS no longer working. I upgraded to Firefox ESR but still can't get Java working. Anybody solved this?

Just checked for myself, indeed not working. Checked with EDGE browser, not working either.

Please post here the solution when you find it.

This might sound crazy but just use Internet Explorer with no add ons. I pretty much use Firefox for everything except the WDS anyway.I only use Internet explorer to go to that one site. It works better anyway. Some of the links in the drawings actually work in Explorer.

Switched to Internet Explorer and all the text documents will display in WDS but the wiring diagrams will not load. Any suggestions?

this is FireFox under XP SP3, so YMMV, but with FF 52.x.whatever and JRE 8.whatever, it works. Just have to change your security controls (virtual machine is helpful here, but not required...)

If you're on windows, just install ISTA/Rheingold. Full TIS, WDS, diagnostics, etc.

You need an SVG viewer. There are a couple out there. Adobe has one. Best way to get around any issue is to go to this WDS and they review your settings and tell you what to do all automatically. WDS BMW Wiring Diagram System

Ehh, it's more complicated than that. You need a few more things and I can't post it publicly.

Yeah, go to operations, enter the VIN and click search for information. Then go thru the menus to find the diagrams you need. Sometimes it's easier to search by text as well.
