Dusty and I are in the midst of a supercharged S62 build for boardmember Joe Stack, who agreed that a build thread would be fun and informative. Here are some quick specs, which will be very familiar to many of us:

Darton sleeved block, 94mm bores
Stock crankshaft, balanced with reciprocating assembly to The S62 Shop proprietary spec.
Pauter conrods
DLC coated LTW piston pins
JE 10:1 assymetric pistons with offset piston pin bores, lateral gas ports, friction reduction rings, ceramic top coatings and teflon skirts
Total Seal Rings
Competition heads with 1mm oversized stainless (intake) and inconel (exhaust) valves, port and polish, uprated valve springs and titanium retainers and Partee Racing SAP blockoffs
WPC coated main and rod bearings
Raceware head studs and BMW main bolts
Partee Racing heat exchanger delete kit
Refurbished vanos (ultrasonically cleaned, updated springs, updated bolts, updated circlip, all new BMW and Besian o-rings)
All new chains, chain guides, and oil and water pumps
Custom powdercoated valve covers

Man, I wish this were going in one of my cars!

Hi Jason! Sorry for being slack in updating the thread. No pictures from Dusty's last work session, but I will take some the next time I am at the shop. All the machine work came out very nicely, and the bottom end is basically done, save for the oil pump, so next work session will be heads, chains, tensioners and vanos. Will be finished long before the scheduled July pickup!

Here is a quick pic of your custom valve covers!

Did you outsource the custom valve covers or did you do them yourself?

Thx that was my plan from the start to make this faster than any new m5 with FBO... including the newer ones coming out. Looking to make 750 to 850 rwhp ...hoping that's enough lol if not back to the drawing board.

As for the question about the blower peter (herrubermench) should be able to answer that I'm not a guy full of knowledge like Peter or others... i assume it would start making positive pressure at 1200-1700 rpm but that is purely a guess. Peter is building my engine and has suggested what blower to use. For me it looked like a choice between the v7ysi or the v2ti HD ... Peter suggested the v2.
