Re: Scan tools

Nope, not the navigation - the procedure refers to the two buttons inside the instrument binnacle...

Gary.

Re: How to test the MAFs yourself and How MAFs work

I have had some major drivability problems with my car and SES lights, it has been at the dealership since last wednesday and they called this morning and said they believe the MAFS are bad, when the MAFS arrive and they install, if it corrects the problem I will post all of my symptoms so that we can have another data point or at the very least another example of symptoms and corrective action, Josh

Readings don't make sense. They should be similar at WOT at or about redline. If anything, they should be slightly higher in a higher gear.

There is no L/P, only L/100km and L/Hour. Not sure where you can get redline 3rd gear pulls, but if not at or about redline, numbers would be off. 2nd gear numbers look great. Any drivability issues?

Sport button only affects the gas pedal position relative to the butterflies (and makes the steering less boosted). The sport button opens the butterflies quicker with any throttle opening, or for a given throttle opening, the throttle butterflies open more. At WOT, all is the same.

Regards,
Jerry

Re: How to test the MAFs yourself and How MAFs work

This one was very timely. I just had my car in at the dealer for other work and they found that these needed to be replaced or parts of them anyway. My car has 52k and this was covered under Massachusetts emmissions law. Which was good.

Re: How to test the MAFs yourself and How MAFs work

Pardon me.. all the " L/P " suppose to be " L/H"

Litre per hour.. I m kinda flustered, on why im getting this
wierd readings..

WOT @7K in 2nd Gear.. IM getting good readings 137-140 l/h.
WOT in 3rd, highest reading im getting are in the 80's l/h
and the same on all 4 runs..

Plus you are " supposed" to get 1.XXX l/h at idle with no load.
Well IM geting " 0 "

should I be worried?

while i was unlocking the OBC.. my Nav got all screwed up also.
So had to power it down/disconnect the battery.. Thank god
it came back to life again...
