Rust repair $2000 before/after pics :-)

She really showed her love to me in Germany and at Nurburgring (8:56) this summer. It was time for me to return my indisputable love for the M5 this christmas <3. It hurt my wallet big, but feels really good now. Have just mounted the pastic cover and are pleased with the result.
Here comes photos of the result:

It would be better if rust preventive maintenance had been performed from the beginning. I am talking generally for all cars. My M5 has received Dinitrol protection even though I do not drive the car during winter.

Yes, I totaly agree with you on that. Unfortunately that is NOT what people want to spend money on. They rater buy x-pipe and all sorts of cool stuff instead. I can understand that, but If the rust preventive maintenance had started early it wouldnt be this big problem now!

Looks great, did you have the jack stand plastic mounts there before getting the rust taken care of?

Very nice. It's one of those things you don't see when walking up the car, but makes you feel good knowing it's there.

Yes, the jack stands pastic mounts was there. The jack stands was still working because it`s reinforcement inside the body to support them.
I have a theory that former owners/workshops have been too violent to the jack stands, resulting breach in the underbody protection and later evil rust.
