Dinan Software question???
Hey guys,
I currently have Dinan software with a Dinan exhaust. I am in the process of changing to an eisenmann race exhaust with SS x-pipes. Am I going to have to change my software at all or do you think I will be fine keeping it at the regual settings with new exhaust and resonators?
Thanks,
Mark

I understand the majority of the people on this board prefer PC. When I bought the car, however, it came with the Dinan SW so I dont plan on changing it any time soon.

Re: Dinan Software question???
Dinan software removes the electronic speed limiter, raises the redline, and only gives minimal horsepower gain 2-4 horses

Dinan software does not result in any hp gain. It does, however, do more than just removing the speed limiter and raising the redline.
PC does the same, although it is claimed to give a minimal hp gain of 6-11 hp.

Re: Dinan Software question???
I just went to the PowerChips webpage to 'read'.
WOW...!! At nearly a GRAND (U$D) to get a couple ponies up on the Beast's nearly 400, mess with the red line and perhaps add a 'bit-o-quickness' seems a bit on the steep side.
I thought it'd be a couple hundred buck$. Wrong...!
Maybe I'm wrong here. But, I don't think this "up grade" is worth while. Least not to me.
I spent over a grand on my Tubi exhaust, but I didn't expect it to give me anything but a more than a grand sound. And, it did. Guess there's different strokes for different folks, eh.

Re: Dinan Software question???
Bagger,
Are the Tubis a lot louder than stock? Do you have any exhasut drone or resonance at normal - 65-95 - highway speeds?
Thanks!

Definitely a personal choice. I went from Dinan stage 3 software to PC. While I didn't do before and after hp gains, it was the drivability difference that was most noticable. The flat spots were gone, and car felt as if it pulled stronger and cleaner. When new, the PC software felt like the Dinan software with the sport setting on. Sport setting with PC gave another nice kick in the back. I really don't know if I got any hp (and at 400, 2 or 3 don't make a big difference), but you will be amazed at the drivability difference. I think PC still has a 30 day money back guarantee. You lose nothing by trying it and then deciding for yourself. If you don't like it, just reload the old program.
Regards,
Jerry
