Re: Advancedautovations Won't Respond to My Issue!!!

Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but Martin no longer sells anything from the sight and it is purely informational at this point.

I contacted Pacific about the setup (was told around $450 for everything by the way, and I'd rather it came directly from BMW instead of a 3rd party), the response I was given was that BMW has presently put a freeze on the BT units/kits for "unspecified upgrades and updates to the system" whatever that entails. Apparently they are releasing a new version/model # mid-month next month (Sept. '05) and to call back then to check availability. I figured everything up and the "kit" actually comes out much cheaper coming directly from Pacific (or local if your CCA gives a good discount) than other websites.

As for getting advanced autovations, there has to be some form of voice contact information registered through their ISP or registered to their domain hosting server. If worse comes to worse, most will work with you to resolve issues of contact if you are having a problem with a registered domain they are hosting to at least get contact info. Best of luck, that doesn't speak well about that company for sure.

Martin still sells the kits. He no longer sells the ULF module.

Re: Advancedautovations Won't Respond to My Issue!!!

I agree about this company;

I was ready to pull the trigger on the setup with them, and after waiting almost a week for a response to a few emailed questions I get a 2 line response, addressing only 1 question I had presented, with no apparent consideration for anything other than making a sale. I in turn stayed away. Notify your card company, no need to put any money in their pockets.

Re: Advancedautovations Won't Respond to My Issue!!!

As of today the 29th, it still won't work and I've never heard from Parag, save once when I threatened him with legal action back in June. My beast is in the shop today checking a rear output seal leak and coolant leak. I told the service writer to look into getting everything to work since hopefully BMW can get it going......if the ULF is the culprit, AA better pony up some cash!

Re: Advancedautovations Won't Respond to My Issue!!!

I am in the same predicament. I got only half my order from advancedautovations (was missing the eject tray and associated wiring connector). I have been trying to get them to send me the missing parts for well over a month now. I have sent numerous emails, and have tried calling numerous times. When the phone is answered (typically comes back with message that mailbox is full), I am assured that it will be resolved. However nothing happens. This is extremely frustrating as I spent $1K for the whole kit and is completely useless without the eject tray.How difficult could it be to put the parts in a box and send it out? By far, the worst online shopping experience I have ever had!

8/29: I sent an ultimatum that included this thread, looks like we got his attention.

8/30: Rec'd a phone call with a promise to send out parts.

8/31: Parts were indeed rec'd the next day as promised. It contained the latest (6th generation and extremely hard to find!) 522 ULF.

FYI, Parag was true to his word. Got the kit within the next two days, and was able to install it without incident. Everything is working great!

Sorry, I got my part #'s confused. What I got was the -552 ULF, an older generation BT unit that is the best choice for the the Motorola V710 phone.
