newbie..............help
first of all, hello
secondly can anyone help with a problem i have with my m5 engine transplant,
i have installed an e39 m5 engine, box clocks exhaust,etc into an e30.
it is about 70% completed.
the problem is that when i start the engine, everything is ok until the temperature gets to about a third of the way up the gauge (the rev lights are out to about 5500rpm) , it starts to choke up(over fuelling), wont run without holding it above 3000rpm, if i let it go below 3000rpm it splutters and cuts out.
any body got any idea's ???

You stuffed an S62 in an E30? Please post some pictures. The electronics are your most likely culprit. I'm sure other folks with more knowledge will weigh in on this thread.

Well, I was about to tell you to call a local shop around me but you're not in the States. This shop I'm speaking of is installing the S62 into a 635Csi. Good luck.

Great project!

Get yourself an OBD-II fault-code reader with real-time data plotting capability. Not very expensive. Then you will know at least what the DME thinks is wrong. That is, if the DME is at all aware something is wrong...

Btw, are you positive you have ignition on all cylinders?
