Post San Diego Sightings

Ok, so this is weird. I have rarely ever randomly seen an M5. Sure I've seen them when I've gone to meet up the another owner, or at the BMW dealers around town. But as for random sightings, in the three years that I have been on the look out, I've only seen two. A white one getting gas at the same station I was filling up at (at the same time) in Chula Vista, and in the parking lot at Disney land when I took my family there last year. That was until this week. On Tuesday I'm getting on the 805 south and there is another Silverstone metallic in the lane next to me. It's an '01. We both headed all the way south until I got off at my exit and he continued on. Very cool two random M5's driving down the highway one right behind the other for about 25 miles. Then on Thursday, I'm just about to turn onto Lusk blvd to get onto the 805 at the same ramp as Tuesday, and there is a black one in the next lane over. It didn't get on the freeway but it was still cool having seen another one so soon. Well this morning (Friday) I am headed down H street to get on to the 805 north, and what do I see in the lane next to me but a brand new silver M5. Now the person behind the wheel was having a good time. I was not in my beast and as such was having a bit of trouble keeping up with her. As we got to the 805 I think she got on the freeway and took off, because I didn't see her again.

Three diffenent random M5 sightings in 4 days. I half expect to see another one tomorrow!

It was a SHE??? WOW... hehehe Ya I seen one random M5 in San Diego thus far... a silver one on Mira Mesa Blvd around 3:00p.m. I forgot the date late may i believe may30th? he was carrying 3 other passengers I was behind him and tried to give him a thumbs up prob didnt see me but I went off to his passenger side and tried again but none of them even looked at me. Now I'm wondering if they thought I was flipping them off instead of giving them thumbs up... but ya I tried...

I know what you mean. Yesterday I was driving my black on black 01 Beast on Del Dios (a very twisty road) and caught up to an 01 silver Beast. The guy driving had grey hair and a ball cap on. Wanted to say hi or at least give thumbs up but he turned onto the S6 towards Del Mar and I stayed on the S8 to Solana Beach.

I drive Mira Mesa Blvd and Miramar Rd at night on a regular basis. Always alot of rice to cook and other fun. See you sooner or later.

In La Jolla this morning, as I drove around the village, I saw a carbon black, an avus blue, and a titanium silver M5s. Counting mine, that makes four. All of them within three blocks. I doubt there is any other place in the world with higher density of M5s per square mile than here. In this town, they are as ubiquitous as VW bugs...

UCSDxBOI, I think I will be free for the 7/1 meet. Looking forward to meeting not only M5 owners but fellow M5 addicts.
