Alright, I thought you had to actually take delivery, but I saw Alan A on the list and he's still on the boat! (lucky b******, mine's all dressed up with nowhere to go on some dock in Germany) So, a couple weeks early, but what the hell:

Bryan,

According to reports it's still on the boat! Don't know though.....icebergs, US Submarines sinking ships, storms....think I'll have a beer, relax and try not to think about it!

I am a new owner of an incredible Beast. I sold my '01 Z06 to buy it. It solves all of my track time issues and I can haul the whole family around with me too. I am thrilled with it. I will be spending my time here instead of on the Corvette Forum. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you online and at meets this year.

edj,

Welcome to the Board. If you would care to share your List-order-delivery experiences with us, please check out the thread "Order / Production Summary" (probably on the second page by now). You can see what info others have shared and post any or all of the info you are comfortable with!

Again, congratulations on your new Beast!

Carbo, Ed - welcome and congratulations!

Carbo - the Z06 is a helluva car. But now you can drive fast AND keep your fillings

Seriously, though - after you get some miles under your belt I'd love to hear a comparison between the two. Clearly they are different animals, but that doesn't mean there aren't interesting comparisons. (For example, check out my comparison of the 996TT and the M5 at http://www.bmwregistry.com/gregh/comparo )
