Do the 2000 Tail lights require ballasts?
I was asked this question and don't know the answer, because from what I understand the 2001+ does require them?

No the 2000 tailights do not have the celis lights which comes with a ballast type box which comes with 2001+

On a related topic, where do you install the ballasts for a 2000? I've read posts that have installed them underneath the spare tire but that doesn't apply to our cars. I just got the Celis tailights for my 2000 and any advice would be appreciated.

Some people have installed the ballast lights for the CELIS taillights in the spare tire area.
