Service question...

How do I know which service is required? The book has 3 choices:
  • oil service
  • inspection 1
  • inspection 2
Inspection 1 was performed at 23k, now I have 29k. thanks

K man

You basicall go by your service interval indicator, if you believe in following bmw's recommendations. If you had inspection 1, next up will be an oilservice followed by an inspection 2. The sequence:
oilservice
insp 1
oilservice
insp 2
repeat...
After 6 k miles, i would guess your SII still has plenty of green lights left, so if you just feel it's prudent to do some servicing, an oil and filter change would suffice at this time, without resetting the lights.
