Suggestions For Creative/Alternative Uses For The Ski Bag

For those of you with the ski bag option, have you ever actually used it? Being the practical person I am, I've always wondered if anyone has used them for anything else or has any creative suggestions.

Thanks!

Anita

Re: Suggestions For Creative/Alternative Uses For The Ski Bag

Hey Anita,
You always come up with some good ones :p

I used the ski bag once when I bought a rake at the hardware store...I put the handle up inside the bag...now I can't get the dang thing packed back into it's little space (it's like packing a parachute), so the rear armrest keeps falling down when I brake hard...

Oh, man, I'm totally weak--I've got nothing!! I haven't touched it since my salesperson demostrated it for me then took like five hours to get the thing back in. Then it kept flying open on the trip home and I finally got it to stay put--I'm scared of that thing!!! I think it might have more mystical (mischievious) powers then the electrical gremlins we've got.

Let me think (or drink) on it a bit though Maybe I could shove some trees in it this spring when I do all my planting, etc.

Re: Suggestions For Creative/Alternative Uses For The Ski Bag

Slightly different question - I have the opposite problem to you Anita! I have an M5 without the ski-bag option (so no hatch from the boot leading into the passenger area) but I go skiing so I actually do need to carry skis in the car.

So... Is there a way of (neatly) punching a luggage hatch style hole through the bulkead into the area behind the armrest? The steel looks fairly thin there, but I don't want to start cutting through it without knowing what I am doing!

Thanks

Alastair
