Newbie NAV question, please help!!

I just got a '02 carbon black M5 It has the NAV with TV receiver installed, however, I can't seem to get any picture on the screen I got the TV channel sound ok, but the screen stays blue no matter what I try And there's a blacked out "CODE" section where I can't select... Does anyone know if it's becasue the dealer has locked it?

How do I activate the TV pictures? I'm talking about standing still with parking brake applied, not while moving too Thanks in advance everyone!

Re: Newbie NAV question, please help!!

can't help with the first point I think (it should work so something may not be connected properly at the tv tuner unit at the back....

The code will only "enable" itself when you switch the engine off. When you enter a code, you are effectively setting an immobiliser so that until the code is re-entered on entry to the car, it won't start. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to enable it while the engine is running.

Regards,

Gary.
