Hello fellow beast owners. I'm hoping to buy a new laptop this weekend mainly to install all of the necessary software to troubleshoot and possibly program my e39 M5 and 528i. I can understand the basics of computers, but I'm not a coder by any means. I can rebuild the suspension of our cars, however So what's the bare minimum specs (operating system, RAM, etc) that you recommend I look for in a laptop? I'm in the Boston area and am looking to buy at Micro Center as they have a bunch of laptops for under $300.

Also, are all the files back up on the sites listed by Mari87? Thanks!!!

Alright Guys, here is all the software
GT1, BMW Easy Tools (with Inpa but older version), INPA 5.50 ISTA\D & P packages (the one i recommend using) and BMWScanner\PA Soft.

It's straight from my one drive, these files will be deleted from the cloud in a week and link will be inactive,
I no longer have my M5 so I personally no longer need this but realize that some of the original links are dead, please community members source them for others if you can

Thanks all!

Can't complete any of the downloads, it just errors out. I would be happy to place this on my server once I had the zips in hand.

I just need one more file and I would be happy to turn it into a torrent. That said to get it started would be slow as our uploads speeds are very limited, but once rolling if people seed past 1 to 1 it would be fast.
