Great way to start Christmas

Well - I am in between two Christmas Eve celebrations. On the way back from the first, I encountered a beautiful Murcielago on the freeway. There were a few places to open it up, and we did. A nice, obviously breathed-on Camaro SS took up the tail. Several accel runs from 75 to 125 or so - traffic wouldn't allow more. (We were very conservative - no slalom lane changes or threshold braking approaches to others' sterns....) Good sane driving by all concerned, and thumbs up and smiles to each other from all drivers as we took our respective exits. The recent dry, cool California weather was heping me make max power, and the Murc was never able to get much of a pull on me.

80,000 miles, my M5 runs as strong as ever, and I still LOVE driving it. How great is that?

Merry Christmas, everyone!

/Greg

Re: Great way to start Christmas

Merry Christmas to you Greg. I had a fun encounter with a new Porsche Carrera on Highway 24. I think he was not looking to go too fast as we *only* got to about 110 then backed off. Fun nonetheless and a great way to start off the holidays.

It's only possible if you substitute Murcielago with snow scooter.

Nice write-up Greg!

Merry Xmas everyone.

If I were you Gustav,I would have a little apartment in Munich with a big M5 in the garage for Autobahn week-end escapes.

Hey Greg,

Breathed-on
ChuckC and I fought the La Jolla traffic for 4 hours the day before Thanks Giving. You guys have entirely too much traffic. I understand when you say, there was no room to speed. Thats a rarity in OZ. We have plenty of room, and not many cars in comparison. Be it ever so humble.......

Re: Great way to start Christmas

Merry Christmas Greg! I was doing a similar thing with a guy in a black E55 AMG (the previous model) Tinted windows- he lowers the windows and I realize his New York Rangers license plate was not just a fan- it was one of the players! (I just cant remember as it was a few months ago)
