Is it worth buying the Bentley Manual?

Since I am picking up my new to me 00 M5 from Gabe00M5 in Long Island next week, I was looking at the Bentley manuals. Is it worth spending the $160 for the E39 Bentley even though the M5 isn't covered at all? I do have ETK/TIS so will the Bentley add anything useful to the BMW information?

Thanks

Re: Is it worth buying the Bentley Manual?

I have it and will admit that i've rarely looked at it, but keep in mind, most of the e39 stuff, chassis, body, some electrical is the same for the M5. The engine is of course not covered, but there is still a bit of overlap. I've found it handy a couple of times. (more often than my tis cd)

Re: Is it worth buying the Bentley Manual?

I think the Bentley manual is worth having. Especially the electrical and DME sections, that have a lot in common with the M5 (which itself is not covered). You can find the 2-volume set for much less than list if you look around.

"BMP Design" advertises the Bentley manual(s) for $110 in Roundel, FYI.

I agree with Mike. In my experience, I've found that using both makes any job a lot easier. Often times, the Bentley manual is easier to follow than the TIS CD. But clearly the TIS has specific information regarding the M5. I believe for most simple DIY tasks, the Bentley manual will suffice.
