New guy-daft question about warranty!!

I hope that someone will be able to answer this or just give advice.

I have a sept 99 M5 which i bought just last month from Damon Hill BMW in Warwick. A dream car that i have wanted for 16 years and possibly the bargain of the century. It is utterly fantastic to drive-everything that i thought and hoped that it would be-however when i start it up first thing in the morning (I live in Scotland-it's cold!!) it is very hesitant until it has been driven for a minute or two.

I have done a search and there are a couple of threads relating to a similar topic and they seem to suggest that this is normal with some cars.
My question is this-it is due to go into the local dealer to have the headlamp wash replaced under the warranty-should i ask them to have a look at this hesitancy problem or try to get some error codes-or am I just likely to incur a big bill for something that is likely to not be covered under warranty? Any help or advice appreciated.....

Welcome aboard

The car shouldn't hesitate the way you describe it. It could be any of a host of things. When you take the car in to the dealer, explain the problem to them and ask them to investigate. They should give you a call and tell you what's wrong pretty quickly. If it's something expensive I'd get back in touch with the dealer you bought it from (Damon Hill) and get them to sort it.

Thanks for the advice. I'll get the local dealer to do some tests and take it from there-I didn't think that this should be normal. Thank goodness it's under warranty!
