Wood trim

Help! How do you remove the wood trim from door panels.Do they snap in or you have to remove the door panel itself?

Thanks Ron

Re: Wood trim

They snap in/out but just be careful not to bend the metal backing or crack the veneer coating, I made a small tool to insert behind and lever them out gently.

Re: Wood trim

Ron:

If you feel around by tring to pry the panel off using your fingernails, you can get a good idea where the actual inserts are located. To be safe, use two small "pry bars" on either side of the insert and gently tug using equal pressure on each bar. Sometimes the plastic insert does lose a tab when removing, but usually the remaining tabs on that insert will hold the trim in place.
