Since I just had mine replaced, I have a question for everyone:

How many miles did your original fuel pump last?

124,XXX miles for me.

Mine was original with 91k on it when I replaced it. It hadn't failed, but I wanted to ensure I could meet my fuel demands.

111,743. Not entirely sure it was original, but makes sense it probably was. Also +1 on not doing it with a full tank. Ask me how I know lol.

Around 130k. I replaced the fuel filter a while after I replaced the pump. I relieved the pressure in the the fuel system by running the car with the fuel pump fuse out. I pulled the front hose off the filter, only about a drop came out. When I pulled the back hose, fuel shot out in a stream that reached about 6 feet behind the car. So, I'd say it was pretty clogged...

Changed mine at 117k.

I was getting fuel trim codes (90&91), hunting idle at startup, stuttering at wide open throttle, and last but not least: the beast would run out of gas way before the low fuel light came on.

Just to be sure it was the pump, I replaced the fuel filter first, same symptoms.

All of those symptoms went away with a new fuel pump.

As I am the third owner, I cannot be sure; but I have put 60,000 miles on it and the clock shows 174,xxx.

Just checked my service history (not for this, I do have other things to do) and he started getting troubles at 240,000 km or 150k in real money.

146k. Pulled into a gas station, filled up and then the car wouldn't start.

I replaced what I think was the original pump at around 130k. I installed a Walbro replacement and that currently has approximately 100k miles on it.
