anyone else buy bmw car magazine... buy october's issue now if you don't... they have a 11 side feature on shadowman's m5 and z8.. the pictures are fantastic...the article's well written too...
it also features a review of the e60 m5... so is well worth buying, and their style of review is different from the other glossy mags... more an enthuiast's view..
shadowman, your car looks simply awesome.. respect bro... the engine looks devine...and 750 bhp in the z8 lovelove
sorry, can't scan article in this weekend, going away....
All the evidence indicates that Discovery Automotive has the knowledge, integrity, and resourcefulness standards that other companies in this industry should aspire to.
The projects were very challenging and extremely enjoyable. However the true pleasure comes every time I fire the gals up........ I never grow tired of the sensations associated with them.
For me the creative process and then ultimately the satisfaction derived from those intimately and remotely associated with the projects make it all worth while.
Let me not forget to share that comments from the community such as you further the fueling of the creative juices necessary to keep the midnight oil burning..
As a fellow member who had been "shadow'd" i can completely agree with all the high praise that is bestowed upon Discovery Auto and the Shadowman himself.
Abdulla,
bills z8 is supposedly somewehre in the range of 680-750 hp from everthing i know. Although i dont know much. By the way, your baby is looking quite pretty these days, as i check your updates just as often as i check mine.
BMW Car is worth buying even though the article is scanned. The pictures are great in the large, glossy magazine. Also there is a nice long article on the E60 M5 with some beautiful pics of it in Interlagos Blue
Just a FYI....... I received my monthly in the US a couple weeks ago and have since seen it at the local bookstore.......am I biased towards this magazine, absolutely......however remove the artical on a couple of our projects and what remains is a simply wonderful magazine, a worthy addition to your list.
It is always my pleasure to chat with you...... and your support and comments are very refreshing.
So one of the new words for Websters is shadowed.......... soon you will be. Your M5 is presently at San Francisco airport parked at Luftansa's terminal pending final Customs clearance tomorrow......... Then we will have her in the facility prepared to be shadowed............
It has been a very long and bumpy road but ........... I can see light at the end for you now.
BlackM5's and my car are the ones being spoken of in the article and while we both are looking for 750 we (we= me for sure) are looking for more than the 750 mentioned.
taking into account an estimate of 18% drivetrain loss
750*.82=615 wheels
The excitement and interest is infectious. Yes, the light at the end of the tunnel surrounds the fact that after all the promises made by other facilities not to mention all the hard earned dollars invested with nothing more than in some cases boxes of parts in return to look at, the cars and the associated dreams of the individuals are finally becoming a reality.
With both cars the anticipated rear wheel numbers are extreme….. in the neighborhood of 750 horsepower…….. there are not many neighbors living near by.
What this number means when compared to OEM crank number is subjective because neither motor will be run on a fixed stand Dyno first. Typically I remain more conservative with my driveline loss, particularly with extreme horsepower motors. Anybody can pull a number and a loss ratio out of the seat of their pants for the purpose of an exciting conversation. For myself a modest 15% loss ratio allows me to sleep well at night.
Let be clear, these are truly extreme…… fully developed Supercharged motors and associated driveline improvements so the smiles will remain and the maintenance will be controlled.
The word came through a few hours ago...after almost a week... BlackM5's car has cleared Customs. I have the guys on the way as I write this to pick it up at the San Francisco airport.
Thank you...... however no wories my friend, the cheque book can follow the car...... this will give you extra time to remember where you hide it.
Thanks again
Take care.
Shadowman
