Installed Euro Clear Corners

Pi$$ed away some disposable income today on a set of Euro clear corner /Angel Eye/Xenons. I just couldn't stand looking at the amber ones any more. It was difficult for me to spend good money on something that doesn't improve performance!

If anyone's interested, I'll write up some installation instructions. It took about 45 minutes per side, and you only need an 8mm socket w/ extension. Very easy, clean, and fun

Re: Installed Euro Clear Corners

Looking good Bill. The euro lenses really improve the front end IMHO. Too bad they cost so much.

Re: Installed Euro Clear Corners

I didn't know you could change out the Amber corners on an 03. I would love to get rid of thes on my Sterling Grey 03.
I would appreciate any information concerning where to buy, price and installation instructions.
PM me if you like.
Thanks in advance.

howler:

You need to replace the entire light cluster as one peice. Cost is usually aroudn $1000 for the set and is available form a couple places (Bavaraian autosport, Beekers, etc). Hope this helps.

Re: Installed Euro Clear Corners

I would suggest that you shop around for price, as the price quotes I got ranged nearly two-fold. The Angel Eye Xenon kit came with both the headlight and ballast brackets, y-splitter (needed for cars that didn't have Angel Eyes originally), and all bulbs except the Xenons. Xenon ballasts (transformers) are also not included.

Aiming the headlights is tricky. The highbeams must be adjusted first using the 4 screws that hold the headlight buckets. Then the Xenons are adjusted using the two adjustment screws behind the headlights. The auto-leveler does not adjust up/down. It only comensates for pulling a trailer or having extra (big) passengers.

Re: Installed Euro Clear Corners

Bill, thanks for posting the extra pics. The clear corners just look some much better, the ambers just seemed to stand out like a sore thumb. With regard to spending money that does not enhance performance, I think some money has to be made available for the looks department (not that the E39 is short in that area)

Terk.
