Dinan JRZ Stage III installed- initial impressions

I only got the car back yesterday, but the improvement is dramatic. The car turns in very sharply now and body roll is significantly reduced. The car feels lighter and sharper than it did before, if that makes any sense. The ride has firmed up significantly, though I would not describe it as harsh.

Ride height is essentially unchanged. In fact, I took a quick measurement last night and I may have gained 1/4 inch on the front. I'll take a closer look over the weekend. I have not had time to check or fiddle with the settings on the front shocks.

I've never driven a Stage III with Konis, so I can't comment on how or even if the JRZs may feel different. I'm still waiting to get the actual alignment #s, but I'll post them later if anyone is interested.

Re: Dinan JRZ Stage III installed- initial impressions

it may just take some time to settle, as my stage 3 is definately lower than stock, not much, but enough to make it really difficult to get my floor jack under the car.

Re: Dinan JRZ Stage III installed- initial impressions

The JRZ should ride a bit tighter/rougher than the konis but the benefit will be on hard manuvering where the JRZ's should have better characteristics.

Re: Dinan JRZ Stage III installed- initial impressions

Once the suspension settles the ride height should come down noticably. It sounds like the JRZ's could be worth the extra $900.

Is Greenwich BMW an authorized Dinan Dealer?

And did you do any sway bar upgrade?

Re: Dinan JRZ Stage III installed- initial impressions

That sounds like a good price, i thought i read they were going to cost more. To answer a question posted above, no they are not height adjustable, but are compression/rebound adjustable, i believe.

Greenwich is a Dinan dealer, one of 2 in CT.. the other is in the New Haven area..

Sorry for jumping in Ed, but I am in CT and after one real good Greenwich experience will service my car there from now on, versus my regular dealer.
