To provide context my first car was a '76 2002 which i learned to work on w/ my dad who is a longtime bimmer enthusiast - then i had a '97 328is w/ an M clutch/flywheel, short shifter, HR springs and bilstein shocks (i've still got it and have no plans to get rid of it ) but the E39 M5 has always been my dream car... when i finally found one at a reasonable price in my area i decided to just go ahead and take the plunge. I mean hell i have no wife, kids or house so what better time than now?
