36, just had a baby girl, and needed a 4-door car (it's my first 4-door ever)
It wasn't THAT hard to convince the wife of the wisdom of my choice

No, not directed at you. I was just really surprised at all the people in the early 20's getting an M5 and then the guy that's picking up the M6 next week.

No kidding! And I thought I was fairly young when I got your M5 at 27.

I don't think anyone is bashing anyone else here, its all just good humor, as I have yet to see disrespect on this board towards another member. Granted there may be some who were lucky enough to have their parents fork the money to get them an M5, but also those like you and I who got it under our own means, more power to us I say . I feel that the other members feel the same way, and glad to hear of more enthusiasts around, am I right men?

Yeah there's some definite hating going on from those of us older than 30. I've paid my dues with lesser vehicles. I can only go up from here.

The problem is, now that I have this insanely beautiful and powerful car, where do I go from here. (Don't really care for the new style...or price)

In the back of my mind I'm considering keeping the M5 until around 2011 and then picking up a used 2009 (or so) E90 M3 4 door if they turn out good and if they offer it in a 4 door.
