          Bumper trim removal

Does anyone know how to remove the rear bumper trim on an E39?

I have looked at the TIS which is most unhelpful and the bloody trim just does not seem to want to come off. Obviously, I do not want to damage it.

In case anyone is wondering why I want to do this - my PDC needs looking at.

          Thanks.

          Re: Bumper trim removal

I pulled mine off for the first time recently. It's VERY easy! On the underside of the leading edge (just behind the rear wheel), there a 3/8" notch for a screwdriver to fit into and pry outward. Once you have it popped out enough to grab with your hands, just pull the trim outward. Once out, the PDC sensors are also very easily removed without tools.

Good luck, I know that you will!

          Re: Bumper trim removal

I took mine out to wax behind them. Also, while the trim is out, they can be given a very thorough cleaning.

Now that we have the rear trim figured out, can anyone tell me how the front comes out?
