Good Luck east coast FL M5ers
Hey guys, hope things are holding together well down there. Looks like it will be a while until things calm down. I am stuck on the road in Columbus, Ohio since all the airports are closed we couldn't make it back down. Hope it goes as smoothly as possible.

Definitely! Good Luck to our friends in Florida. Batten down the hatches- ride her out.

Re: Good Luck east coast FL M5ers
Thanks yall. Looks like the main thing we'll worry about is flooding. Im in the jacksonville area so I'm hoping to avoid the worst effects.

Re: Good Luck east coast FL M5ers
Its 9:30 Saturday night and us guys in South Palm Beach County seem to have avoided the worst of it. The same is not true for the Treasure Coast.
Maybe I should have left the beast out and tried a RejeX test!

Re: Good Luck east coast FL M5ers
Just some wind gusts and light rain here in Miami, power has gone out briefly a couple of times. Some of the less able cars I saw on the freeway got blown into the guard wall or the ditch. However, I'm proud to say that my SL cruised comfortably at 70 mph all the way home.
Looks like the worst of it is in WPB and above. The most bothersome thing about this storm is how incredibly SLOW moving it is. Everything is closed, and ontop of that my foot is fractured. I've been in my room for about 5 days now with little outside interaction. It's frustrating. Hoepfully more things will be open tomorrow around here atleast...seeing as how what we are getting in Miami isn't all that bad. There's been midnight thunderstorms that were more violent than what we are getting down here, right now.

Yes, Frances looks to be a monster storm. Good luck to all of our Florida members. Hopefully, the storm will continue to weaken and move faster.

Re: Good Luck east coast FL M5ers
I'm to be in Homestead next weekend when the third Ivan is to come thru.
I'd still rather see a storm come than not know when the ground is going to shake.

It looks like Ivan is pretty far South of the US. If it continues going straight it will head to Mexico and South America....from the map/projection I saw, anyway.

Yes - all the best to our Florida brethren. I was living there when Hurricane Andrew struck back in '92 and it was ugly!
