Have to seen the Renn-tv M3 CSL "Ring" DVD?

I've got a copy of this awesome DVD from a friend in BMW
It's a must buy for any of you guys that want to see the quickest BMW ever to come out of the BMW Motorsports work shop and run the Ring with total domanation of every car out there.
The DVD has 3 laps of the ring with 3 different drivers.
Hans Stuck, Boris Said and another driver called Duncan, l can't think of his last name right now.
You will be amazed at Hans and his speed, he's the best on the ring by far.

Apples,

Noted a link to a SL 55 in your post. Are you adding this to your stable? Very cool car and a great companion to the Gallardo.

regards,

I'll put up a imagestation link when l get the Brabus 20 inchers on plus a good exhaust as well.
I must say it's got some serious grunt out of the hole.
This would be one way to convert the 55

It's Duncan Huisman - a Dutch driver.

Agreed - the video is excellent quality. The owner of Renntv is a friend and they barely cover their costs because they tend to lose a camera or 2 once in a while - so please don't make illegal copies.

Re: Have to seen the Renn-tv M3 CSL "Ring" DVD?

The previous DVD they made is even more impressive.. it features the Alzen 996 Turbo, sporting more than 700 BHP.. The acceleration on that thing is insane.

In this years 24h race at the ring (where the M3 GTR DVD was made) the Alzen Porsche was 23 seconds faster than the M3's during training...

www.renn.tv features both DVD's.. Highly recommended!

Regards,

Gerrit

Agreed - the Alzen Porsche has so much power it never goes quite in a straight line.

Actually - the M3 GTR DVD was made at the VLN race a few weekends before the Nurburgring 24 hour race, to be handed out as a limited edition gift to BMW VIP guests at the 24 hour race. The remaining copies are for sale on the Renntv website.

Re: Have to seen the Renn-tv M3 CSL "Ring" DVD?

I want to direct people to the site for the M3 GTR DVD, because l'm not offering to send out copies.
Boris sent me my copy personally.
I timed Hans Stuck on the DVD from the exit point of the 1st dip down corner once you take the left out onto the "ring" to the over pass next at pit lane, and he ran that section in 6:50min.
I'm sorry but there is no way any Porsche is going to beat that by 20+ seconds
700hp isn't going to stomp on a 550hp better handling M3 by that far.
In the DVD he was eating all P cars out there, but l didn't see any balck 996tt on the track
Boris has told me he's driven a Mustang in the Grand AM? series that makes over 200hp more then the M3 GTR, and weighs exactly the same, and he gets the M3 around 1 second a lap quicker then the Mustang.....very impressive.
A 90kg 4 liter V8 with well over 500hp motor that sits so low in the engine bay gives it amazing traction and a very low COG, and with some good torque as well.
Boris says you brake and then get on the gas it's so responsive.

Re: Have to seen the Renn-tv M3 CSL "Ring" DVD?

Sorry, my mistake.. it was 13 seconds, instead of 23.. I looked it up:

http://adac.24h-rennen.de/pdf/04/24h_Zeittraining_2.pdf

During race they were pretty much left standing though, because of traction problems during rain, and some problems with the car..
The Porsche was green over black this year..

Anyway, just order the Porsche DVD too, and see what I mean.

Gerrit

Re: Have to seen the Renn-tv M3 CSL "Ring" DVD?

The Alzen Porsche really is a lot faster than the M3 GTR - I've seen both IRL and it's like watching a movie in fast forward. However the GTR seems to be much easier to drive fast consistently and is much more reliable.

Alzen is a great driver. I'd like to see him associated with BMW in the future.

I also have both movies that I enjoyed a lot and a third one about this year's 24hr race (also BMW heavy). I got that one from the www.24h-rennen.de.

I have the 3 laps of the M3 GTR DVD as a 450 MB avi file as well. We may post it somewhere once the renn.tv runs out of print. It wouldn't be fair to them now.
