2003 M5 at Sterling BMW in the OC.

Has anyone seen the 2003 M5 at Sterling BMW in Orange County California?

It has 800 miles on the OD and is carbon black, I'd like to know is this car worth buying? Anybody have any feedback?

mm,

If you want one, it's worth buying at a fair price.

What's the price?

good luck

They want 74K for it, but with 800 miles on the clock it worth it?

It was a factory car. But they consider it new.

Just a thought I've had before but the mileage seems suspiciously like the types of mileage that the M5 Driving Experience cars might have. Maybe not but does anyone know how those cars are "disposed of" after they leave the program down there in South Carolina? Those would be beat to hell I would think and I'd never like to have one of those "low mileage" cars.

They quoted me 79,995... but I wasn't too interested in a blk.

There's a very nice Sterling via private seller in LA for 71.9k (asking) with some mild Dinan upgrades- and 1300 miles ... and it's been for sale for 3 months:

"35 percent titanium tint, Supersprint X Pipe, Supersprint Cat-Back exhaust, clear tail light bulbs, and upgraded fog lights. This car was purchased with every possible option available from the dealership."

just to get an idea of what that low a mileage should be worth.

Re: 2003 M5 at Sterling BMW in the OC.

Regarding this M5 with 800 miles, the sales guy said all cars from the performance center come with a disclosure stating they were used at the school then repaired. This car was not used at the school, but by BMW executives.

I still want to know how many people drove it, and how they got all these miles on the car.

btw, the car comes with PDC, fold down seats and M audio.

The sticker says 74K, what would you guys pay for the car?

Thanks.

I'd probably pay close to the asking price. If you don't want wait to be 'Bangled' with the new body style...

You will be getting on the last ones around...

Re: 2003 M5 at Sterling BMW in the OC.

I was told this past July while at the BMW DE event in Spartenburg that the track cars are used for 6 months there and then totally refurbished and sold to a dealer in Miami FL.
They also stated that the cars come with a "record of usage" with the title.
I bet the cars are sold and shipped out of the Port of Miami.
The car we used (abused?) was an 03 with 3100 miles on the odometer.
I seriously doubt the car you are looking at was utilized for the BMW DE.
I would think the majority of the 800 miles was by the owner or the GM of the dealership not used as a demo for the many tiretickers, thrillseekers out there.
When I was looking for my 03, I could not find a dealer who would let me drive a brand new M5, so I ended up driving a CPO 02 at a local dealership before finding my 03 Sterling Grey car in Palm Springs this past January.
I hope this is the car you are looking for.
Great car new or used.
