Re: What to apply to dash!

i use zymol vinyl (assuming you don't have the leather dash) on my 00 M5. It supposedly has UV inhibitors, is not wet/oily/shiny looking, but does 'dress' the dash material. Lasts a long time too. I've used it with nice results on many previous bmw's.

Re: What to apply to dash!

I have the full leather so my choice is easy. It just so happens I rubbed my entire insides down yesterday. I applied with my bare hands as opposed using a rag. I feel I got better coverage and as a bonus, my hands came out softer.

Re: What to apply to dash!

I also use the Zymol Vinyl. Works very well and is not greasy or shinny like other products. Hope this helps.

I use Lexol Vinyl which also has UV protection.

Re: What to apply to dash!

O.K., call me stupid, but how do you know if you have a vinyl or leather dash?

Re: What to apply to dash!

2001-2003 luxury interior (stiching on dash) is vinyl. 2000 has real leather on dash top. Now on all years that have the stiching on the dash everything is leather below the wood trim. Only viynl is the door panel tops and dash top. I use Vinylex (Lexol) on my dash/door tops and Tropicare leather conditioner on the real leather parts.

Re: What to apply to dash!

I use zaino leather cleaner and condishoner. Great stuff, car still smells new.

Wipe it on, let it sit, wipe it off, looks brand new, smells brand new.
