Sport seats...what type of leather is the inserts?

Curious what type of leather the inserts are? I suppose the smooth surface leather is Napa leather. Wasn't sure about the rought texture of the inserts/

It has a very faint pebble texture to it -- it's not smooth. I don't have a good picture handy, maybe someone could point a closeup of the seat?

Well, my seats have more than a "faint" pebble texture. Check it out:

Plainly, your seats have developed goosebumps because they are so cold they have turned blue!

"Is it the sounds that make a BMW a BMW? A BMW is designed to be heard, felt, experienced. So our engines sing. Our steering talks back. And we insist on offering manual transmissions in nearly all our models for drivers who crave them. The result is an almost telepathic oneness with the car. Just as surely as you can hear a BMW, a BMW hears you."

Re: Sport seats...what type of leather is the inserts?

Now that we've established it has bumps...what the heck is it? Ostrich? Cow? Pig? Snake? Nappa? Connely? Vinyl? Synthetic leather? My rear end is curious what it's sitting on

Re: Sport seats...what type of leather is the inserts?

The bumps just provide that additional level of grip.

Regards,

Re: Sport seats...what type of leather is the inserts?

I'm guessing that the texture is not natural, but it's just a guess.
