There are a few reasons, but Ive been sworn to secrecy. All I can say is that the people I met; both fellow Z8 owners; as well as the staff at the facility and the people at NA and even at the manufacturing plant were just a blast to be around- they are smart, funny and just plain enjoyable.

I hear the M5 experience is similar and I'd highly recommend it (A-Train, you listening.....)

          Nice pics! And nice CARS!

I bet it's for safety reasons the top is up? Or?

Anyway, MEnthusiast, you got quite a nice duo of cars. In fact the nicest from the BMW range!

          Gustav,
          thanks, thats high praise.

I just cant say anything except that the level of safety adhered to was extremely, extremely high.

Its my opinion that the safety of the car is just as good with or without the hard top.

They are beautiful. The biggest surprise in terms of colors was that the blue is just beautiful (in an artful kind of way). That blue interior is wild (its blue plastic inserts).

Also the cars drive to a level I never realized- and my comments about my Z8 bouncing over expansion joints and the like: well, after a few thousand miles it no longer happens- the thinking was the run flats took a little longer to break in and also the suspension was setteling down.

It was also amazing to meet people who like cars as much (or maybe more?!!) than I do.

Tops up because doing the Waterwall would soak the interior

          Just a thought....

I wish I could say- but we definately put the windows up for that one!

Whats amazing was that I thought I knew what the car could do- I actually knew about 70% of what the car could do. Now I know much more and will enjoy it even more.

I also have a renewed appreciation for DSC- that system works in an amazing way. As one of the people said- not even the best driver in the world can apply different braking to each of 4 wheels in miliseconds! My face hurts from smiling so much

Topaz Blue or is it even LeMans blue?

          Gustav,
I think its topaz and it looks sooooo much better in person. Its quite striking. For a long term relationship I prefer silver or black but none of these colors looks bad.
