Post Is the M5's aluminum trim the same color as the 3 series'?

I was just wondering because the trim I have seen in M5's looks really good. Kind of a chrome shadow look. But the trim in the 3 series looks like silver painted plastic. It looks very different than the M5's. Is this correct, and if so, is there any way to get the M5's trim for a 3 series, say an E-46 M3?

The brushed trim for the M3 E46 is almost the same as in the M5, except is perhaps a little bit more dark grey looking. It is not the same as in other E46s.
