Motorola V710 Bluetooth Now Available for Verizon!!!
Hey:
Just thought I'd do my civic duty and let youze know that the new Verizon Motorola V710 bluetooth phone is available at RadioShack. It will be available at Verizon stores and VerizonWireless.com in about 10 days. The online store says they have it...they don't! Only RadioShack carries it right now. Phone is sick. Camera, MP3, bluetooth, speakerphone. It's the only phone sexy enough to belong in the M5. Now you just have to spend $1k on the bluetooth kit and you're set! The phone sells for about $275 I think, if you're eligible for an upgrade for existing Verizon customers. It's also that price if you sign up for a new contract with Verizon. Otherwise, put your pants securely around your ankles and pretend you're at your local BMW service center. Make sure to check to see if your company has a contract with Verizon. Mine does and I get 20% off the phones and 15% off the plans. Well worth checking.

Thanks for the comments; I blindly ordered one last week based on the POP materials being solicited not knowing for certain what to expect. Now I am excited.
Take care

Wow thats nice.
**** Cingular and my contract with them. I just got the V600 a couple months ago. Oh well, hopefully Cingular will pick that phone up, they've stopped carrying the V600...which leaves their high-end line of phones pretty slim.

I'm with ATT wireless and i'm stuck with this Samsung when I asked about upgrading the best answer they could come up with was "well for $300 more you can get this one with a camera"

All, I am interested in knowing how the BT works in the M5 with the BT compatible phones. Niello BMW will not install BT in M5s because they say they are not convinced it works well. On the other hand Sonnen Motors has confidence in the system. What does the user out there say and experience?
I ordered the BT. Question now is what phone to pair it with.

Yeah, I've looked into the V3 Razr too. It's sexy as hell, but it does have a couple of drawbacks. 1. Battery life is about 25 minutes in Bluetooth mode (wireless headset, car compatable connection, etc.) and 2. $700!! It has the exact same features as the V600 and V710 except for a slightly larger LCD, it's thinner, and it has better games. And Verizon doesn't support that phone for now. Here's the full review.

Re: Motorola V710 Bluetooth Now Available for Verizon!!!
Yapallas, I had the BT system installed in my 2003 M5, and with the Motorola V600 phone, it works just fine. Prior to the V600, I had a Sony T610 which worked well with the BT in the M5.

Darvin,
Glad to hear that the V600 works fine. I'm still not 100% committed to this V600/BT combo yet. One quick question though, there is no snap-in adaptor for the V600 yet, correct ?
