Hello, I own a 2003 beast and i want to do a lot of upgrades and try to make a rock solid Beast. below you'll find a list of the upgardes that i am thinking about doing. i need your you help to tell me if this is worth the price and will their be a significant increase in power. the beast has a lot of power but i think they bmw restricted the power too much. i am hoping to get rid of those restrictions. i love my beast and am very impressed by it. i also own a 2001 bmw X5 4.4i and share a 1999 Porsche Turbo with my brother. i am most likely going to get the M6 as soon as it comes out. my other dillema is do i take over the porsche completely and get rid of the beast (i can't believe i just said that) and get a 2004 bmw 760i. see than i have a suv, sports car, and a luxury car. or do i stick with the beast and get the 760i and than I will not upgrade to the M6. also, i am looking to start a M5 club of bay area, please email me if you are interested. www.m5club.com with all these upgrades i am hoping for a 80 to 100 hp/ft lbs. tq. increase. will this work or am i just crazy. my brothers are convinced that i am crazy to mess with a car like this. but i am very passionate about this car and i love working on cars and i realy thinking that the beast has a lot of hidden power in it. here goes the list.

tell me of your experiences with your upgrades.
What about your suspension besides the sway bars?

I would consider the dinan s2 package. Gives you performance plus agility. You can substitute tubi for dinan exhaust and forego the dinan wheels. More money but a complete and "tuned" package.

Tubi is a good sound mod, maybe 2-3 hp.
headers a good mod
plamsa coils are a waste of money
any intake is ok but i'd go dinan
eibach sway bars are nice I'd add a dinan strut brace and some sort of coilover system either kw or h&r
uuc shifter is a good mod
Uuc flywheel is pointless
relocate the sensor is fine
and brakes are always nice.
course for 15k you could do a dinan s2 minus the wheels and few other things.
other big mods round here are the powerchip software ( i think it's just the sport on all the time mod) and the 3.45 gearing thats over priced.

I personally think you'd be lucky to get 50lbs/ft more torque with the basic bolt on mods, and i've read the shorter stacks will actually take away some torque (at least in the stock plenum). No reason not to try though!
Keep an eye on the board, there are many of us in the bay area who get together on a semi-regular basis. I'd be in for a local 'club', there are so many of us here in the bay area, we could do some nice drives, track days etc.

i got your email today and replied back so check your email.
Alot of people are going to suggest the S2pkg by dinan which is to say that it is a good pkg and does carry a warranty but it sounds as if you are after the larger power. As i stated in my email, the amount you are looking to spend could net you to around the magical 500hp number using the SC kit designed and engineered by member shadowman. My car is going to be using this kit except that my car is to be COMPLETELY tuned to handle the power i am looking for.
The basic kit does run about 10 and with some of the other mods and install should net your to around the 16-17 range.
As i stated before, i will attempt to contact you sometime today so that we can speak.
