Hi Guys,
Im hanging out with my life long friends tonight, so we decide to go out to a go-go bar in Manhatten. When we left the place and crossed back into NJ I got pulled over for of all things............. revving my motor! My buddy has a 2002 330i and he flew past me at the red traffic light. The cop couldn't catch him (another cop) so he decided to do the next best thing pull me over for a loud engine. I waas revving my motor just for kicks at the red traffic light, but when the light turned green my friend (two detectives in the 330i) flew away. The police officer turned on his cherries and pulled me over. I quickly ID'd him, and he became pissed off! He told me he heard me revving the engine two block away...........
My point is, when you have the SuperSprint X-Pipe and the Kelleners racing exhaust, don't rev your engine at 1:00 AM. Especially after having cocktails. The police will take notice of this act from the mighty M5 BEAST! hehehehe..............

At least you didnt get the dreaded DUI. Funny how cops can get you for "revving."

If I had that exhaust setup, I would rev it all the time. Go figure...

Hmmmmm,
does your ticket say "drag racing" or "noise pollution"? If you were sitting still and revving, I find it hard to believe that you can't win this one.

If you received a ticket and will fight it you might say something to the judge like:

"I think my exhaust cam sensor needs to be replaced and I was trying to make a rough diagnosis before making an apointment at the dealer."

My M5 seemed to become quieter after they replaced one.

Ps: I sometimes get a kick out of the occational short, quick rev.

I got pulled over for speeding the other day, and the guy could have cared less about my PBA card and the fact that I work for the NY state Police PBA attorney's office.

Guy was in a speed trap and it was the last day of the month, I was getting a ticket, period amen.

I have contested it, he wrote my plate down wrong and I am positive he clocked a Lumina that was in the lane to the left of me, not me.

70 in a 50 in the rx7.
