SPLIT SCREEN WITH V23 NAV SOFTWARE ON MK4

I have recently upgraded my mk3 sat nav to the dvd based mk4 software. i also upgraded my software from v19 to v23 as per the download link on the forum.

on upgrading th v23 with the mk4 sat nav, i have lost the ability to have a split screen between the audio and sat nav display. the split screen function works with computer and sat nav showing on one screen, but not audio and sat nav. When i try to dispaly this all i get is a wide screen for audio, i.e. the cd screen.

When i re install the old mk3 nav, the split screen function is fine.

anyone else got the mk4 system and has the same problem as me or does yours work fine.

is there a software fix for this?

          Thanks

Re: SPLIT SCREEN WITH V23 NAV SOFTWARE ON MK4

mine does the same thing. I've read somewhere that you should be able to display nav on one side and radio on the other though, but never seen it live!
I went from a mk2 to mk 4, also running v23 software. If anyone knows how to make this work, i'd also appreciate it!

I just upgraded to the mark 4 DVD navigation system with v23 and I still have the split screen function. Have either one of you tried going into the "setup" menu and changing it from the "full" to the "split?"

And I don't believe that it would be possible to have the map on the left and the radio/cd/tape display on the right.

Yes, i do have the split screen function, but what is shown in my nav system owners manual is a map on one side, and radio function on the other.I think this is what the original poster was asking about. I've never had this feature, even though it's shown in the manual (later model year manual, not my original 00 one of course). When i'm in the radio display mode, i pretty much just have the station, or cd on the top, and an empty screen at the bottom.

the screen i had on my mk3 was cd on the left and the gps info on the right showing where you are but not displaying a map.

When i plug my mk4 one in , i lose that screen but can split other screens.

          Why is that??
