I think you should go with the Supersprint. It looks aggressive and sounds sweet. Dinan products are good but Supersprint are exhaust specialists and make the best bimmer exhausts.

Don't forget about the Tubi exhaust for the M5. I just had it installed yesterday. The sound is awesome; a more pronounced 'rumble' at idle; a much more aggressive 'rumble' at take-off until approx. 4000rpm where the exhaust begins to take on a more 'screaming' note. There are no resonances thru-out the rev range which others with the B&B Triflow exhaust have mentioned. Further at cruise in 6th gear the exhaust is hardly any louder than stock. Lastly, the build quality is outstanding, and it looks fantastic on the car.

And of course I would have to say Dinan. Agressive sound, but not obnoxious. Comfortable at freeway speeds with no sound intrusion at all unless under full throttle.

          speedzter,

Have you considered Kelleners Sport's exhaust? The sound is awsome everyone that hears it are very impressed even girls I know who aren't even remotely interested in cars otherwise.

I've been to several track events the latest weeks and people just are astonished!
Even at Nürburgring I got people asking about the sound!

Although this topic has been tossed around before now, I always enjoy discussing it again.

I have the Supersprint Magnums on my BEAST and they absolutely look "Marvelous" as Billy Crystal would say.

Before purchasing aftermarket exhaust for your car, you should first decide what you hope to gain from it?

          1) performance - Don't do it for the performance gains. Even though you may get an extra few HP (5-7 more is what Dinan claims), you will certainly not feel the difference in power.

          2) looks - Each exhaust system has its pros and cons when it comes to looks, so try to get opinions from folks who have each one, as well as pictures and/or in person viewing whenever possible to help you with your decision.

          and last but not least...

          3) sound - This is where most of the aftermarket exhaust systems differientiate themselves. The Dinan exhaust sounds very good IMO, not too loud, but intoxicating during acceleration! My Supersprints on the other hand are more subdued, but a definite deeper rumble than the stock mufflers, especially during hard acceleration. Of all the ones I've heard, including my own, the one I like the most has been the Kelleners! Man, that is a very sweet sound coming from the rear of the BEAST! If I didn't like the way my Supersprints looked so much, those are the ones I would choose.

          Good luck with your decision.
